Congratulations to Brent! The winner of diViene’s Valentine’s Proposal contest! We loved the creativity in the proposal and that he was able to record the whole thing, what a great story!

His entry:

On January 12th of this year I proposed to my fiance Christie.
Christie has been wanting a cat ever since we started dating several years ago. Never having pets I was hesitant but finally decided I was ready (without telling her) and that I’d surprise her with a kitten and a Diviene ring at the same time. The day before I proposed, I spent the day driving through Nashville visiting all the cat shelters until I found the perfect cat that I knew she’d love. The morning of the proposal I had her brother show up at the pet store early that morning and place the ring on the cats collar. Christie was thinking I was beginning to warm up to the idea of getting a cat so we decided to spend the day shopping around for one. The second store we visited just happened to have a cat with the ring around its collar and I proposed right there in front of our new kitten. I also had a videographer in disguise who recorded the whole thing on video. I think the video tells the story well. Check it out:
