How do you keep your jewelry safe?

What would you do if your engagement ring or wedding ring was stolen? Well that’s exactly what happened to rock star wife Sharon Osbourne back in 2004. Her ten carat diamond Tiffany band was stolen by burglars, and she thought all was lost. In the robbery, her husband Ozzy Osbourne actually came into contact with one of the thieves. Sharon was obviously inconsolable after the event—she even offered a 100,000 pound reward for the return of her ring.

Imagine how overjoyed Sharon was when her engagement ring was found! The ring was recovered during a police raid on a home in South Yorkshire, England. The police didn’t know it was Sharon’s ring, though. It was part of a one million pound haul of stolen jewelry. So how did Sharon get her engagement ring back?

She saw it on the show Crimewatch on BBC1. The ring showed up on the television, and she knew it had been found. When the ring had been recovered, her daughter Kelly Osbourne Tweeted, “Thank you Crimewatch. My mum is over the moon.”
